The Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course! Diving with enriched air nitrox (EANx) has plenty of benefits. One of the biggest reasons divers use EANx is because it can extend your bottom time so you have more time to explore and pursue your favourite underwater activities like taking photos and video.
What is EANx you ask? The air we normally breathe is approximately 79% nitrogen and 21% oxygen with trace amounts of other gases. EANx has more oxygen and less nitrogen than air, giving you extended no stop times for a given depth because you absorb nitrogen at a slower rate.
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course teaches you how our body reacts to breathing varying oxygen levels at different depths, techniques for getting more dive time, EANx scuba diving equipment considerations, EANx considerations including managing oxygen exposure, how to analyse your EANx tank and how to set your dive computer.
Be prepared to be amazed at how EANx expands what you’re able to do while diving.
